I'm starting to feel like the Facebook Grinch... ;)

I see a lot of people using the Nametest app. Have you noticed the disclaimer at the bottom of their page?

"This app uses data and contents only if they are publicly available ▶ or with the consent of the users ◀. We kindly ask you to use the app only, if other users will not be affected adversely."

I wonder what "affected adversely" means? 🙄

Did you know that Nametest exposed sensitive Facebook information for up to 120 million users by their leaky quiz application? www.newsweek.com/facebooks-new-leak-nametests-quiz-apps-120…

The tests are fun - but they come at a cost. You're giving the app access to all kinds of information. Even if you've set your privacy settings to private, you've given Facebook permission to allow Nametest to have full access to your contact info, birthday, friends lists, and a wide range of other info when you do a quiz. They continue to have access to that info long after you completed the quiz. And if we're Facebook friends - you've given them access to some of my info. :(

To remove an app you've added:

From your News Feed, click 🔽 in the top right.

- Click Settings.
- Click Apps and Websites in the left menu.
- Click the box next to the apps or games you'd like to remove.
- Click Remove.

Once you’ve removed the app or game, it should no longer have access to your personal info.

***Note: Nametest may have stored info from when you were using it, (you gave them permission when you did the quiz) but you can contact the developer to ask that they delete any info they may still have.
